supportive supervision for social workers making a difference

Reflective supervision for social workers who want confidence, clarity and sustainable practice.

Expertise that inspires

I provide professional supervision to social workers in Sydney and across Australia, offering flexible online sessions with the option for in-person meetings depending on location.

Acknowledgement of Country

I acknowledge the traditional owners of the land where I live and work, the Gadigal People of the Eora nation. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging. I acknowledge the role the social work profession has had in the removal of Aboriginal children from their families and communities and the devastating intergenerational harm these actions have caused. I recognise these wounds and commit to engaging in action that contributes to social justice healing.

I proudly welcome individuals of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions and am committed to creating a safe and exclusive space for everyone.

With a strong academic foundation comprising a Bachelors degree in Law and Criminology, coupled with a Masters degree in Social Work from the UK, I have seamlessly transitioned my expertise to the Australian social work landscape since 2016. Over 15 years, my commitment to specialised trauma-informed practice has been honed through invaluable experiences across a spectrum of service sectors, encompassing pivotal areas such as youth justice, child sexual exploitation, disability, out-of-home care, functional family therapy, and child protection.

My role as a dedicated social work lecturer allows me to impart knowledge and instil a passion for serving the community in aspiring social workers. By nurturing the next generation of professionals, I aim to equip them with the essential skills and insights needed to drive substantial positive changes within the field. I bring a deep understanding of social work theories and methodologies into the supervisory space, allowing supervisees to reflect on their practice.

MY BACKGROUND

I provide trauma-informed, critical reflective practice supervision to fellow practitioners, ensuring adherence to best practice standards in alignment with organisational frameworks, policies, and AASW guidelines. My supervisory approach is centred on enhancing competencies, the supervisee identifying areas for development, and collaboratively setting clear career goals using a coaching approach to facilitate continuous professional growth.

Recognising the profound impact of social work on clients and practitioners, I am deeply committed to aiding professionals in navigating the field’s inherent challenges while establishing effective self-care. With a dedication to excellence and a compassionate ethos at the core of my practice, I remain steadfast in my support for practitioners as they strive to achieve success and fulfilment in their social work endeavours.
